About the Pouchot Clan

Michael and Rachel have dedicated their lives to serving Christ and mentoring others through ministry. Michael’s journey into youth ministry began at the age of 14, shortly after his salvation. Since then, he has been passionate about discipling young people and helping them grow in their faith. Together, Michael and Rachel have served in various ministry roles, including working at summer camps (where they first met) and establishing a vibrant college student ministry in Lynchburg, VA.

In 2018, their calling led them to Zacapa, Guatemala, where they served as full-time missionaries for 2.5 years. There, they poured into youth ministry for orphans, discipled missionary kids, and embraced leadership roles to build up the local church. Following their time in Guatemala, they moved to Colorado Springs in 2021 to assist with a church plant. In 2023, after two years of dedicated church planting, they felt led to slow down and seek God’s direction for their future in full-time ministry. During this season of discernment, Michael explored military chaplaincy as a possibility and continued his theological education at Regent University Seminary, where he will graduate with a Master of Divinity in May 2025.

Currently, the Pouchot family resides in Fountain, Colorado. Michael serves as a firefighter and paramedic while faithfully fulfilling his pastoral calling as an intern at Cross Creek Church. In this role, he preaches God’s Word, mentors youth, leads small groups, and develops impactful discipleship initiatives. Through prayer, mentorship from wise counselors, and a rich variety of ministry experiences, Michael’s calling to become a full-time youth pastor has been powerfully affirmed.

Michael’s journey has been marked by countless opportunities to lead, mentor, and disciple others, especially young people. He has discovered his God-given strengths in leadership, building teams, intentional discipleship, and developing future leaders to advance God’s kingdom. His greatest joy is investing in youth, equipping them to grow in their faith, and empowering them to step boldly into their God-ordained purposes.

Michael and Rachel are excited to continue walking in obedience to God’s calling, passionately serving the next generation, and walking alongside young people as they deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ.
